Bananas Foster French Toast

By: Heather Wirtz, Managing Editor Macaroni Kid EATS!

The perfect sweet treat to make for a special mom on Mother's Day!

Ingredients:
 
4 eggs
 
1/4 cup milk
 
2 teaspoon vanilla extract - divided
 
8 slices whole grain bread
 
2 bananas, sliced
 
1/2 cup brown sugar
 
1/4 cup butter
 
1 tablespoon dark rum or rum extract - optional
 
powdered sugar
 
Oil
 

Directions:
 
Crack eggs into medium size shallow bowl, beat lightly with a fork. Add milk and 1 tsp vanilla, stir well.
 

Heat griddle or frying pan over medium heat.  Coat with a thin layer of oil ...

Stamp Out Hunger on May 12

On Saturday, May 12th, Campbell Soup Company will join forces with the National Association of Letter Carriers to help Stamp Out Hunger across America.
